Tamara Smith-Thomas is the founder of Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. She created a supportive and empowering sisterhood that fosters personal growth, lifelong friendships, and active community involvement. She based the sorority's values on emphasize loyalty, honor, and empowerment, creating a strong bond among women who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of military life.
Currently, Tamara is a Human Resources Specialist (Position Management) at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Tamara’s education includes Master’s in Human Services with concertation in Criminal Justices and Counseling, Certificate in Military Resilience, Bachelors’ in Criminal Justice, Pharmacy Technician Certificate and currently working on Hospitality Management in concertation in Event Planning.
Tamara has over a decade of sorority experiences as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority, Inc., and as United States Army retiree. She lives in Virginia with her husband and two children with bonus daughter, and her 14-year-old puppy.
